MONTMAJOUR
The Montmajour Abby was a fortified Benedictine monastery built between the 10th and 18th centuries on what was originally an island five kilometers north of Arles,
in the south of France.
The rock tombs, from the 11th Century, carved in the rocky slope at the foot of St. Peter's Chapel, are in the shape of human bodies and create a rather strange atmosphere.
