BRUGES LA MORTE
This is a series I made under the influence of the rather nostalgic fin de siècle atmosphere as found in the work of the Belgian novelist Georges Rodenbach (1855-1898).
The novel, Bruges La Morte, was all about the depressing emptiness of life in a small local and sleepy city where nothing seems to happen and dead looked as it was the only way out, driven by debilitating memories from which escaping was impossible...
The writer's symbolism esthetics where guiding me in a quest for mysticism and mystery.
